Vicki's primary areas of practice are relationship property and trust law. This experience combined with a background in tax law means that Vicki is also well placed to assist with commercial transactions and asset and estate planning as well as relationship property matters.
Although tax is an important part of business, trust and some relationship property matters, it is not the only facet. By keeping tax in mind, but not letting it be the sole driver of a matter, Vicki works with her clients to obtain a tax effective outcome without losing sight of the client's other objectives.
Vicki was admitted to the bar in 1998. She has a BSc from University of Otago together with a BCom and LLB from the University of Auckland.
Vicki writes regularly on the subject of tax and trusts. You can read her views on topical matters at www.talktax.co.nz
Vicki is the author of Taxation of Trusts, available from www.cch.co.nz in late 2009.
Vicki also co-authored Australian GST for New Zealand Businesses (2003).
Outside of the office Vicki is the mother of two teenage children and, together with her husband has an active involvement in a Far North vineyard.
